I'm only putting 5 stars so people see this but in reality it's a 1 star. I was looking for a pizza spot near the Nj transit and I came across Don Pepi pizza. In the past the restaurant is fast paced and the service is decent but now the female cashier is so rude. My bf and I were trying to decide what to eat and she wouldn't stop rushing us. Then I felt so rushed either she misheard or I accidently ordered 2 sodas instead of 1. She wouldn't give us a refund and made it seem like it was my fault. I tried talking to her politely that she kept on rushing us and it's not nice and she was like : too bad. I tried talking to the coworker that she has a bad attitude with customers but no one would speak to her or anything. I left very upset that they let her treat her customers so poorly.

Had season tickets for the Rangers for 15 years in the 80s and 90s and always came in from Jersey weather driving or on the train but before each game always got a couple slices and stood at the counter or sat at the counter. Great pizza.

OK, OK, OK. Somebody has to speak up about Don Pepi's OTHER offerings. While there trying to decipher the pizza choices 8 or 9 years ago, I overheard some one order a ham and cheese ... no, make that 'brie,' sandwich on pump with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. I stepped back to watch the production. Production it was, like a ballet. About 2 minutes later it appeared on the counter...MONSTAH! Heck with pizza, I'll have one of those! Paired with a cold beer it's the perfect train companion for the trip back up to Bastoon. We have made it our go-to ever since...not one regret. Going North or South...we always make time to hit Pepi's...SO New York. SO glad. Someday we'll break down and try the pizza.
